A correct delivery address is the difference between a happy customer and a returned package. Here's how address updates work on Everspring, when you can still make changes, and the common pitfalls to watch out for.
When you can still edit the address
As long as the order has not yet been sent to processing at the supplier, you can edit the shipping address yourself from the back office. Once the supplier starts fulfilling the order, the address becomes locked and can no longer be changed from your side.
How to update the address
Open the order in your Everspring back office.
Look for the pencil icon above the shipping address block.
Click to edit, make your changes, and save.
If the pencil icon is not visible, the order has already moved to processing and the address is locked.
Common address errors to watch for
Address data is synced automatically via API from your webshop, but a few data patterns cause errors at fulfilment time. If you see an error notice on an order, it's usually one of these:
Incorrect street or city — a typo or formatting issue that doesn't match a known delivery address.
House number in the wrong field — the number ended up in the street field or got dropped entirely. This is a frequent checkout-form issue.
Customer name longer than 60 characters — carriers reject long recipient names. Shortening the name to under 60 characters resolves it.
When any of these flag an order, fix them in the back office before the order moves into processing — otherwise fulfilment will be blocked or the package may be returned.
Coordinate with the supplier — just to be safe
In principle, updated addresses sync to the supplier automatically — you don't need to do anything extra. That said, updating an address is at your own risk. We recommend sending the supplier a short message via the platform after an edit, especially when the change is significant or happens close to the supplier's fulfilment cut-off time.
A brief "please confirm the new address is picked up correctly" goes a long way as an extra safety net.
When the order is already in progress
If the pencil icon is gone, the supplier has already begun fulfilling the order and the address can no longer be edited from the back office. At that point:
Contact the supplier immediately via the platform to see if the shipping label can still be adjusted.
If the package has already shipped to the wrong address, see our Claims & Refunds section for how to handle undeliverable or misrouted parcels.
